About this course

Welcome to the module on Introduction to Skin Tear! It is essential that clinicians, healthcare providers and carers have a good understanding of the effects of ageing on the skin and take appropriate measures to reduce the risk of patients/residents/clients developing skin tears.

This programme focuses on why skin tears occur, the classification tools, assessment skills, prevention, and management of skin tears and documentation. These are important skills and knowledge required for effective management of skin tears.
