About this course

The Chronic Disease Management course covers a range of different common health conditions including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, and explores the risk indicators, implications and management stategies for these diseases. It also provides further insights into managing a healthy diet and knowing when to flag out a medical emergency in the right fashion.

What you will learn

  • Explain what are chronic diseases and the principles to managing them.
  • Identify risks of poorly controlled diabetes and explain the health implications, and how they can be managed.
  • Define what is hypertension, its complications, risk indicators and how to manage it.
  • Explain what is hyperlipidaemia, its risks, indicators and how to manage it.
  • Describe the components of my healthy plate, and explain tips to eating healthily.
  • Explain the relationship between unhealthy weight and health problems, and how lifestyle should be modified to manage weight.
