About this Course
The course enables learners to contribute to collective social impact through a collaboration with community partners in the active ageing space.
Learners will:- be facilitated with theory and videos to assist self-learning
- be required to complete an online assessment (Multiple Choice Questions) and upload a short drumming video demonstration for evaluation
- progress to a real-world assessment of their application of the drumming activity in the community
- understand the opportunities and context on the ground
- propose and implement the initiative to engage with the community.

Online learning (2 hours)
- 20 minutes online learning
- 90 - 120 minutes self-practice
- Practicum and interaction at the community (2 hours)
- Existing trainers for Active Ageing Centres (AACs).
- Aspiring trainers who are interested in learning drumming with exercise balls under the drum-up programme.

Drums-Up for Active Ageing (for Trainers) aims to train and certify trainers as an active ageing activity. By the end of this course, participants will be able to:- Outline the exercise programme in an active ageing community
- Differentiate approaches to understanding programme impact
- Demonstrate programme principles and personal effectiveness for sustainable impact
- Apply knowledge to co-develop initiatives that can serve the community in meaningful ways
- Verify the personal/group social impact of the programme
- Formulate personal philosophy on social responsibility and personal effectiveness
