Community Engagement and Me: Starting with the Individual
About this course
This first course under the ‘Learn for Life’ Series is open to anyone who is keen to learn more about community engagement as a lifelong learning practice, and how you can play a part in it. You will explore the ‘why’ and ‘what’ of building up community engagement as a movement.
You may be a youth, student or educator embarking on a school-community programme; a community worker facilitating social programmes; an employee in an organization or business that is seeking to do more in the corporate giving space; an experienced professional seeking a mid-career change to explore more meaningful work; or simply a curious individual who is keen to learn more about community engagement and how you can contribute.
We trust that what learners gain from this course can become the foundation for facilitating community engagement in your own settings.
